Questions to Ask Your Future Mentor

Everyone thinks that the person flashing the most expensive cars and the largest amounts of cash are the ones that they should join. In most cases this could not be further from the truth. Unfortunately, many of these hot shots, take the money and run. Just because they have a lot of money, cars and online marketing success does not necessarily mean that they will be there to coach and mentor you to success.
So many people just don’t realize that their are important questions they should be asking to insure their own success with the gifting activity. So make sure to ask all of these questions so that you are not left behind while he races off in that nice car that you just helped him pay for.
1. What, exactly, do I need to do to receive all this money?
First you have to select the payment amount you would like to receive; $500, 1,000, 2,000 or 3,500.
The best programs are very up front about what you will be doing to create this kind of wealth. Don’t expect huge piles of cash for doing nothing. What’s expected from you varies from program to program so ask your mentor what they do on a daily basis.
2. Do I need to sell people on the program?
You don’t have to SELL anyone on anything. The site that you receive should do all of the selling and telling for you. If after reviewing the site, audios, videos, testimonials, faq’s, someone finds that they still have questions, and they should, the future mentor should be willing to answer them all.
3. Will I get a website?
At the $3500 level you should receive a website and a whole lot more. If they are not willing to give you a website, pay for your annual hosting dues where you track your payments, offer to pay for some advertising to give you a jump start, and tell you where and how to advertise, then I would politely say ‘Good Bye’ and hang up.
4. Do I need to provide an auto-responder?
No, your mentor should be able to provide one for you. They should also provide you with at least 20 pre-written autoresponder messages. This way you can simply cut, paste and personalize them, and you are good to go. Again, if they do not provide this?
5. Do I have to be an expert in advertising or marketing to be successful?
No, a well trained and knowledgeable mentor will have a training site for you that is well laid out and easy to follow. So there should be a system in place to help you market your site. They should write the ads and emails for you.
6. Where are the best places to advertise? They should give you an outline, and then when you join they should give you exactly where they are having advertising success.
7. How do I track my cash gifts?
Ask if the program you’re considering has an easy-to-use back office where you can track your prospects and cash gifts real-time, and have access to all the tools you need.
8. What is your experience as an online marketer?
Your mentor should know some of the main online and off-line ways to generate traffic. Test their knowledge, ask them if they know anything about PPC, writing articles, how to correctly do videos for youtube, how to create and generate friends on myspace, RSS feeds, how to create a squidoo lens, place adds on Craigslist, best postcards, print adds, best paid leads etc. Ask them about keywords, link backs, the importance of a good title, myspace protocol and the difference between organic and paid advertising. They should know a lot of the tricks of the trade and be willing to pass them on to you.
9. What kind of support will I get?
Are they available to assist you? Do they have a job, or are they a full time work at home internet marketer and for how long? You should be given their phone, Skype and/or myspace IM usernames, and/or email.
10. Is Cash Gifting a pyramid scheme and is it Legal?
No and Yes. Cash gifting is all about community and the universal rule that giving creates abundance. Cash gifting is not a company, a 2-up, a zero up, MLM or pyramid scheme. It is all about helping others and in turn you help yourself. Go to www.cashgiftingprograms.org/legal-issues.html for a blog entitled, “IRS Document - Gifting is Legal”
11. Do I really get to keep all the cash?
Yes, every cent, however, it is a very good idea to put a percentage of your gift back into advertising. First you must recognize that it is a private activity and not to be considered a “business”. At the same time, it must be taken seriously as though it were a business.
The key to success in gifting is marketing and personal coaching with someone who has had success in this activity and can teach duplication.
Those who fail have been brought into the activity without asking the right questions about how this activity is marketed or asking enough questions directed at their possible mentor and their marketing experience.
